3D 4D Baby Scans – Early bonding

What is a 3D/ 4D scan?

3D scans how still pictures of your baby in three dimensions. 4D scans show moving 3D images of your baby, with time being the fourth dimension. 4D ultrasounds create a live video effect, like a movie -- you can watch your baby smile or yawn. Here we share some recent ones from our collection

What is the best time to get this scan?

If you decide to have one, the best time to have a 3D or 4D scan is when you're between 24-30 weeks of pregnancy.

Before 24 weeks your baby has very little fat under her skin, so the bones of her face will show through. After 30 weeks your baby's head may go deep down in your pelvis, so you may not be able to see her face.

Is it harmful?

There’s no evidence to suggest that the scans aren’t safe, and most mums-to-be gain reassurance from them. Nonetheless, any type of ultrasound scan should only be performed by a trained professional radiologist only.

Is it better than 2D ultrasound?

Medically it is an added advantage to a 2D ultrasound in pregnancy. It shows certain birth defects, such as cleft lip-palate, that might not show up on a standard ultrasound.

What should I expect to see?

You can watch Baby pout, grin, wave and smile in stunning 3D! Nothing brings parents and grandparents closer to Baby before delivery than this unbeatable experience. After all it’s a family affair. We have comfortable seating for up to 4 guests and there is never a rush! You will be able to see if baby looks like mommy, or has daddy’s nose!

Please note:

According to the PC-PNDT Act, performing a pregnancy ultrasound without a valid prescription having the doctor's DMC/MCI registration number, phone number and other details is forbidden. Pre-Natal sex determination is not done here. It is a punishable offense.
